Friday's Hollyoaks Review

Claire Cooper is Jacqui Malota

Anita's not eating and Leila's concerned about her sister. She told Nancy about her worries and the latter told her to stay behind after class so she could talk to her. Anita insisted that there was nothing to worry about but this claim inevitably seemed a bit unfounded when Nancy found the diary that Hannah gave her. Leila and Nancy were not impressed with Hannah's interference and confronted her. Hannah explained that she was only trying to help by letting Anita see just how horrible it is to suffer from an eating disorder, but the two of them told her that she was only making things worse. Genuinely only wanting to help Anita, Hannah felt confused and stopped herself from binging just in time.

Meanwhile, it was the day of Tony's veterans day and he honoured his great grandfather with the Union Jack, proclaiming to all and sundry how great an Englishman he was. This came after Cindy actually told Tony that this ancestor he has so much praise for was actually a German during WWI, and she and Dom understandably could only listen to so much of Tony's lying, and Dom, unable to help himself, eventually revealed the truth. Embarrassed, Tony promptly put an end to his celebratory veterans day.

Also, Dave hurt Spencer's feelings when he told him that he didn't want to have the responsibility of looking after him when both Calvin and Sasha blamed him for Spencer's accident, while Jacqui was shocked when pictures she posed for in London appeared in an adult magazine right there at Drive 'N' Buy for all to see.
