Thursday's Emmerdale Review

Charlotte Bellamy plays Laurel

As everyone excitedly prepared for the bonfire, Laurel called home to let everyone know that she had been held up at work and would be late for the evening's festivities. Jumping at the opportunity, Sally proceeded to mother Gabby and ushered the whole family off to the bonfire so that she could play being mom and wife. When Laurel arrived, and unintentionally thwarted her attempted plan, Sally continued to grow increasingly furious and hateful as the evening progressed. Eventually, consumed with jealousy and hatred, she ensured that an ember of Laurel's coat was set alight.

Meanwhile, Charity had started a fire of her own, showing up at The Woolpack dressed to the nines. She began flirting with Jai but when Cain arrived and planted a kiss on her cheek, it became clear that Cain still has feelings for Charity and was struggling with feelings of jealousy. Charity continued her mind games later at the bonfire, leaving Cain totally consumed by her behaviour.

Also, David found Leyla deep in conversation with Nathan but did not see the look of hatred on her face, misunderstanding their conversation as proof of her feelings for Nathan.
