Unaware of how bad Tony's condition really is, the factory girls caught wind of his heart-attack and couldn't help but gossip. Roy, meanwhile, was overwhelmed with what Tony had just told him and didn't know what to do about it. With little other choice Roy went to Hayley with the news but she was rather dismissive of it, suspecting that the drugs he was on were probably to blame. Roy wasn't convinced though, and so went back to the hospital to try and do some more snooping but on his arrival a devastated Maria had some of her own news for him.

When Ryan discovered that Jake had spent the night he was not impressed and began to have a go at his mom. So, she promptly sent Jake packing and Ben jumped in the shower to get out the way, so the two could have it out with each other. Jake was later confronted by Dev who was unwilling to cover his dinner bill as it was too steep. This resulted in Jake removing roof tiles off the corner shop.

Elsewhere, Peter had decided to keep Simon home from school, as not only did he have a black eye, but he also had a cold. While out, a man named George, claimed to be Simon's grandfather and of course, had something to say about the black eye and Simon's absence from school. George showed Peter some papers to prove he's Lucy father and that he was looking for the chance to be a good grandfather to make up for being such a bad father to Lucy. Peter told him he'd think about it.
