Tuesday's EastEnders Preview

Melissa Suffield plays Lucy

It seems Jay didn't realize it was Lucy he mugged and he stands over her motionless body in the alley. When she comes to, he pretends that he's just found her there and takes her home. Jane and Ian have been babysitting Oscar and Jane's been pushing the adoption idea when Jay helps Lucy in.

Ian's appalled that this has happened to his daughter and immediately wants to notify the authorities, but Jay and Lucy are both panicked by the idea, though for different reasons. Jay declines the bit of cash Ian offers him out of guilt and accompanies Ian and Lucy to the hospital. The doctor decides to keep Lucy overnight for observation, and Jay overhears Ian asking her for the number to the phone. As it is still in Jay's pocket, he rushes out of the hospital and bumps the mobile in a random bin on The Square.

Janine has hatched up an extreme plan to burn down The Vic, but Archie brushes her off, thinking it too over the top. Janine's adamant that it will work, because they could fix it to look like arson, causing the insurance to be waived. Because of Sam's financial strain on the family, they wont have enough money to repair the building and undoubtedly go under. Archie's still skeptical, but when he comes across a flyer for a bonfire night at The Vic, he realises they have an in. He heads over to Janine and tells her the plan is a go and they can even use Billy as a scapegoat.
