Archie is trying to remove the wasp nest from this roof when Sam walks by and though he tries to start a conversation with her, she tells him that she knows what he did to Peggy and no longer wants any association with him. Archie says he put up the money for the bail, but Sam's well aware that his offer was eventually declined by the family. Despite Sam's clear distrust of her uncle, he manages to get her to have lunch with him though she brings Ricky along just in case. Having sent Ricky off to deal with the wasp nest, Archie proposes that Sam move in with him as there is ample space in the house. Ricky walks in over hearing Archie's offer and strongly dissuades Sam from accepting. Archie plays the concerned-uncle card and tells Sam her father would have wanted him to look after her. Later, when Archie gets wind that Billy needs a place to stay, he offers him one of the other rooms in the house, thinking Billy will come in handy in his big plan.

Syed and Christian are worried that Zainab will read the note apparently sent by the blackmailer and race to get to it before she does. While trying to figure out if any mail has arrived, Syed gets another text message, demanding £300 for the secret to remain just that. Syed goes to Christian after leaving the cash at the drop off point and Christian can't believe that Syed gave in to the demands. Lucy meanwhile collected the money and immediately bought herself a new phone, but gets ambushed in an alleyway, by a hooded Jay.
