In contrast to Bridget's jaded attitude to being engaged, Rebecca is fast becoming very fond of and taken with Paul. She refuses to admit that she's feeling this way, though, but can no longer keep up the pretence when Declan takes it upon himself to invite Paul over for family dinner.

Meanwhile, Lucas clocks Elle's reluctance to talk about Declan's electricity accident and coaxes her into revealing her true feelings - she feels guilty that she was too scared and claustrophobic to get Cat herself and that he ended up getting hurt because of it. So Lucas decides to help her face her fear of small spaces...

Elsewhere, as was expected, Steph's not overly pleased by Toadie's version of 'The Girl Next Door' and shuts him out. He, however, decides to get her attention by changing the ending.
