Malachy is very excited about his new job and so insist on going to his first day despite the fact that he's actually much too ill with flu to do so. He goes, regardless, but only to return quite soon after, having realised that the only place he belongs is in bed. Upon his return home, loving wife Mercedes offers to go steal him some medicine and heads off. However, while she's away, Malachy's ex-girlfriend Cheryl makes a surprise appearance and all too soon drags him to Warren's funeral, where she's hoping to find Zak - who was forced into going to the deceased thug's funeral by Michaela. Cheryl's presence at the church irks Michaela, though, and they argue, but things get a lot more heated when Mercedes finds her husband with his former lover and typically has a go. Cheryl, a bit, later tries to make peace with the McQueen family, though, with an offering of booze and crisps, but will this be enough?
Meanwhile, Sasha and Spencer are both struggling with their emotions as the day of Warren's funeral finally arrives. All the ruckus at the church doesn't help, though, and ends with Sasha throwing everyone out except for her and Spencer, who also actually disturbs her by refusing to come to terms with the fact that his brother is dead. The solicitor also arrives to tell Spencer that Warren left everything he owned to him, but this does not appease him. He, however, luckily finds some solace when he receives a message from his brother.
Elsewhere, Newt's life is getting very complicated as he tries to come to terms with his feeling for both Lauren and Theresa, while the two of them are making his life hell with their jealousy and demands.
