Ryan was furious when Mark arrived to visit Faye, and he aggresively warned him to stay away from his mother. Mark and Faye argued over Ryan's decision to join the army, with Mark telling Faye, in no uncertain terms, that Ryan was not his problem. Mark headed to the hotel and was shocked when Natasha told him that they would be living separate lives. It looked like the Wyldes are headed for divorce.

Meanwhile, after much reassurance from Jamie and a confession to Brenda about the date, Gennie finally made up her mind to meet her internet suitor. Later, when they met at the Woolpack, she was delighted at her catch but failed to notice her date's disappointment. When her internet date bluntly stated that she was not as attractive as in her profile picture, Gennie lamented her rotten luck with guys and worried that she would always be alone.
