Thursday EastEnders Review

Adam Croasdell plays Dr Al

Having had an epiphany during his annulment with Heather, Minty is determined to get into shape for Manda and told Garry about his plans. When they noticed how Phil's carrying the distinct smell of lady's perfume, their conversation soon turned to him. Later, Minty showed Manda his male girdle, or 'mirdle', but she reassured him she likes him exactly the way he is. Thinking the night could hold some romance, Minty was disappointed when Manda professed to needing an early night as the plumber was coming early in the morning. While chatting to Garry, Minty was shocked to see his supposed girlfriend giving Phil a goodnight kiss...

Dr Al was concerned that Heather hasn't thought her abortion through enough and tried to speak to her about it before her appointment. She had meanwhile agreed to minding Bobby while Jane was busy at the café's reopening and when his mum came to pick him up, she immediately apologised as she knew Bobby was misbehaving all morning at the market. Jane was, however, surprised to find Bobby meek as a lamb all curled up on the couch next to Heather. So good was she with the little boy that he clung to her side when she tried to leave for her doctor's appointment. As Dr Al was already outside her door, she promptly told him that she'd changed her mind and is ready to be a mum. On her way back to the flat, Heather realised that she probably shouldn't tell Shirley just yet - given her disdain for other people's children.

Elsewhere, Christian flirted with Gianfranco the coffee man, much to Syed's annoyance, Amira offered to cook the Masoods dinner to make nice with her future in laws, but Zainab caught her buying the food she was supposedly cooking.
