The day of Lou's funeral has arrived and to Irene's surprise, Donna shows up at her door and says she's come to the realisation that Irene and Lou must have loved each other and it would only be right if Irene were at the funeral, reminding her that it starts at 2pm. While Irene's getting ready, she receives a call from Belle, asking where she is. It turns out the funeral started at 1pm and Irene misses the whole thing. Donna had deliberately made Irene late, to make her seem guiltier, and it's worked. Realising how the incident has upset Irene, Annie and Geoff organise a makeshift memorial service to help give Irene a sense of closure.
So excited at the prospect of sleeping together are Ruby and Xavier, they both confide in Annie and Jai about their plans. Ruby explains to her friend that she really feels ready and Annie seems to be feeling a bit pressured herself as she's avoiding Jai. When he confronts her, she says she simply isn't ready herself, but Jai reassures her that he's in no hurry and is willing to give her all the time she needs.
Kirsty can't believe she found Trey in Nicole's bed and after she threw the boy out, she grounded Nicole. Nicole tries to explain that Trey is all she has left now that Roman is gone. Trying to be understanding, Kirsty explains to Nicole that she doesn't think Trey is the right guy for her. Nicole then insists that nothing happened the previous night and Trey literally just slept in her bed, but Kirsty tells Nicole that her boyfriend is spreading a different rumour around the diner. Despite Kirsty's warnings, Nicole yet again sneaks Trey to her room, and while working with Jai's video camera, to add voiceovers to the film, Trey suggests that they try something else, and they soon start getting hot and heavy with the camera rolling.
