Despite Rachel's honest statement and Angus' obvious remorse, the judge handed down a harsh sentence to make an example of Angus, and as he was taken away he slipped Rachel a package. Opening it in private, Rachel found his ring and a note written on the back of a photograph, telling her that love is all that matters.
