With John back on the Street, everyone was feeling particularly on edge - everyone except Rosie who took great pains to put on her most provocative outfit yet. She did her best to confuse poor Fiz, who was not enjoying the fact that John had suddenly reappeared, by telling the factory girl that he tried to get back together with her. In reality, John only has eyes for Fiz, and desperately tried to convince her to give him another chance. However, her response was a chilly one, as was the welcome he received from most of the Street's residents.

Elsewhere, with Jerry still unwell, Mel insisted that she would cancel her holiday rather than have Teresa staying on, but Jerry was adamant that she goes on her break and let her mother take some responsibility for a change.

Meanwhile, David became suspicious when Tina was cagey about what she was doing on her computer when he came home at lunchtime, and Clarissa informed Harry that she would agree to the proposed divorce settlement.
