'Corrie' in sickie chaos

Filming for popular soap 'Coronation Street' has been thrown into chaos due to ill cast members.

The ITV show has reportedly been forced to ditch entire scenes from upcoming storylines because the actors who play the characters involved have called in sick.

Both Kym Ryder (Michelle) and Johnny Dixon (Darryl) have missed a day on set, while Ryan Thomas (Jason) was absent for two days as he was suffering from laryngitis. Writers were forced to adapt to two weeks without Simon Gregson (Steve) who recently battled a mystery bug.

A source said in The Sun: "They're dropping like flies - it's more like 'Sickie Street' these days and the bosses are getting worried."

Meanwhile, former 'Corrie' star Tina O' Brien has expressed her desire to return to the cobbles following the birth of her baby.

The 24-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with co-star boyfriend Thomas, quit the soap in order to pursue new projects before she fell pregnant.

However, Tina now misses being a part of the 'Coronation Street' gang, and hopes to reprise her role as Sarah Platt in the near future.

She told a friend: "I miss working on 'Corrie' and the glamour stuff, and would love to go back to doing it all."
