Paul was stunned to hear what had happened, while Jonny apologised to Katie for telling Paul about her plan in the first place. Deciding that it would be safer for her to move into Victoria cottage, Jonny took Katie home with him, which caused further tension between him and Paul.

Meanwhile, Gennie expressed an interest in helping Eli get hold of a hot tub for the Dingles, but Chas had concerns about the Dingles' influence on her. Later, Gennie opened up to Lisa about Brenda's smothering parenting style, and while she was at a job interview at the insistence of her mother, Brenda herself arrived at the Dingles' looking for her daughter.
