Still battling his conscience, Paul debated whether or not to tell Gray about Katie's plan. While he dealt with this internal conflict, Gray became increasingly suspicious of Katie's behaviour, and after a call to the hospital, was shocked to learn that she had been lying to him about the caesarean date.

Gray immediately confronted Katie over her deceit, and after another attempt to pull the wool over his eyes, her lies eventually caught up with her and she was forced to reveal her true intentions for the baby. A furious Gray grabbed her to prevent her getting away, just as Jonny arrived and pulled her free. She made a run for it, pleading with Matthew to take her to Perdy, but just as they picked her up, Katie realised that she was in labour.

Elsewhere, Chas got all dressed up for work in a bid to impress the good-looking locum vet. Gennie noticed this, and quickly put together an elaborate plan involving Paddy's cat in order to take advantage of the perfect matchmaking opportunity.
