When Rachel once again gets into trouble at school after fighting with Justin, Susan suffers an MS relapse. She does her best to hide this from her daughter, though, as it just once again proves the possibility that stress from Rachel's behaviour was what caused her health problems in the first place. Also, when Rachel asks her mother if she loves her less after the ordeal with Angus, Susan hesitates with her answer.

Elsewhere, Frazer gives Toadie some hope by ensuring him that people do change, while Elle feels guilty about what her therapy is doing to her relationship with Paul.
